What is Pilates ?

Pilates is a type of exercise that focuses on strengthening the back muscles and the abdominal area through precise breathing and improved body-consciousness. The advantages of this form of exercise are avoiding tension and pains in the shoulders and neck for example, and obtaining an overall improved physical form, to better deal with the challenges of everyday life.

Doing Pilates balances the muscles, loosening those that are too tight and strengthening those that are too weak. In Pilates one works with the deeper lying muscles: muscles that one is usually not aware of. Through Pilates you get to know your body better – physically as well as mentally.

Pilates is for you, if you want to:

  • obtain better body-consciousness
  • think proactively and avoid injuries
  • get in better form after having a child


Through Pilates you will:

  • feel improvement in the strength and balance of your body
  • obtain better contact between your body and soul in your every day life
